In this lesson im going to teach you a very nice trick that you can apply on a simple text to make it more attractive and eyecatching .
texts later.
1) open a new document
2) select the type tool and type anything that you want with any color you want

3) make sure to write down the number of the color that you chose because you're going to need it all throught the tutorial, i chose
#9cd600.
4) select the text layer, and click on the (Fx) icon at the bottom of the of the layers palette to add style to the text, select the drop shadow style and do the following:

a) change the color of the shadow to the color that you chose for your text, in my case it's #9cd600 , now move the circle down inside the color picker box to select a darker shade of the original text for the shadow.

b) set the opacity to 70 , the distance to 7, spread to zero, and size to 7.
5) after adding the shadow to the text, click on the (Fx) icon again to add another style to the text, this time select the inner shadow style, and do the following:

a) change the color of the shadow to the color that you chose for your text, in my case it's #9cd600 , now move the circle down inside the color picker box to select a darker shade of the original text for the shadow.
b) set the mode to multiply, opacity to 70, distance to 7, choke to zero , and the size to 17.
6) add another style to the text by clicking on the (Fx) icon again, this time select the outer glow style, and do the following:
a) change the color of the glow to the color that you chose for your text, in my case it's #9cd600 , now move the circle inside the color picker box to select a lighter shade of the original text for the glow. and do the following:
set mode to screen , opacity to 65, spread to 17, and the size to 8.
7) now you need to add the inner glow style to the text, so click on the (Fx) icon again and select inner glow and do the followig:

a) change the color of the glow like you did before but this time choose a darker shade.
b) set the opacity to 60, the choke to 12, and set the size to 15.
8) now go and add another style to the text, this time select the bevel and emboss style and change the following settings:

set the size to 18, angle to 90 , altitude to 70 , set the shadow mode opacity zero, and change the contour to half-round contour.
9) the last style you need to add to the text to get the best result is the satin style. so click on the (Fx) icon again, select satin and do the following:

a) change the color to the original color of the text, in my case it's #9cd600.
b) set the opacity to 50, the angle to 70, distance to 56, size to 5, and change the contour and set it to the ring contour option.
and that's it, now you can save the gel text effect you did as a new style to use it on another text or objects.
