Layers Style Effects

You can access Layers styles by clicking on it's button in the layer palette

when you click on the layer styles button a menu will appear.

The menu contains layer effects options that we will be discussing in details:
Blending Options : To know more about this option please visit it's own page
Drop Shadow : that will add shadow to the selected layer (outside the edges)
Inner Shadow : that will add shadow to the layer (from the inside)
Outer Glow : that will add glow to the selected layer (outside the edges)
Inner Glow : that will add glow to the layer (from the inside)
Bevel and Emboss : that will make the layer looks either carved in or bumped out.
Satin : that will give an over colored coat to the selected layer
Color Overlay : This will give a color fill to the layer.
Gradient Overlay : This will give a gradient fill to the layer.
Pattern Overlay : This will give a pattern fill to the layer.
Stroke : This will stroke the layer with a chosen color and thickness.
