To access layer comps palette Go to windows - Layer comps
Layer comps are there in Photoshop to help make variant shapes and alternations
on your document without you needing to create more than one document. So you
just make your changes and save every final touches on a separate comp. Like if
you want to put an image colored once in blue, then in red, you may put each
colored image on a layer in this palette.
Layer comps palette has many options, so lets take a look at it:
You'll need to create a new layer comp by clicking the new layer comp icon at
the bottom of the palette.
These navigations buttons are there
to navigate through the different layer comps that you have in your document.
The trash can icon is for deleting
the selected layer comp.
When you choose to open a new layer comp, a window will appear
in it you can enter the desired name for the layer comp, visibility in case you
want it to be a hidden layer comp, and the position which when checked would
remember the position of each layer. And the appearance that would remember the
layer style . In in the comment box you can enter any comments that relate to
the image or the data available on the layer. (in case there would be audio
notes for example).
