"The Clone Source Palette"
Applies only to Photoshop Cs3
The clone stamp tool: it’s used to cover up the
imperfection areas in an image , and it helps to repair damaged and old images. The clone stamp tool enables to clone with specific output scale and angle
that you can set in the new feature “ Clone Source Palette”.
How the Clone Source Palette exactly works:
1.
go to window - and choose Clone Source.

The Clone Source Palette will appear, with many options. We
will discuss these options in details in a minute.
In the new Photoshop CS3 you have the ability to store up
to five different source locations for the clone. Even from another
Image.

along with the Source point height and width options, you can change that to scale
the source (change it's size) - and the source location exactly on the image
(These options are filled automatically when defining the source, i.e. ALT +
clicking on the area where you want your source to be)
You can also Rotate the Cloned image by entering an angel number in the rotation
field
In the overlay Option, you can define how the source will map on the original
image. You can define also the opacity and the Blending mode of the source, in
Choosing this option you can see the source moving when moving your cursor.
Auto Hide: when checked the source image will disappear as soon as you start
painting.
Invert: when checked the source image would be inverted.
To move the source after defining it, you can click Shift + Alt and nudge the
source image using the arrow keys.
