Applies only to Photoshop Cs3

The clone stamp tool: it’s used to cover up the imperfection areas in an image , and it helps to repair damaged and old images.
The clone stamp tool enables to clone with specific output scale and angle that you can set in the new feature “ Clone Source Palette”.

How the Clone Source Palette exactly works:
1.

go  to window - and choose Clone Source.

2.

The Clone Source Palette will appear, with many options. We will discuss these options in details in a minute.

In the new Photoshop CS3 you have the ability to store up to five different source locations for the clone. Even from another Image.
|
along with the Source point height and width options, you can change that to scale the source (change it's size) - and the source location exactly on the image   (These options are filled automatically when defining the source, i.e. ALT + clicking on the area where you want your source to be)
You can also Rotate the Cloned image by entering an angel number in the rotation field

In the overlay Option, you can define how the source will map on the original image. You can define also the opacity and the Blending mode of the source, in Choosing this option you can see the source moving when moving your cursor.
Auto Hide: when checked the source image will disappear as soon as you start painting.
Invert: when checked the source image would be inverted.
To move the source after defining it, you can click Shift + Alt and nudge the source image using the arrow keys.
